With my highest regards,
It would be highly beneficial to declassify and release all remaining documents, recordings, notes, and other materials related to Chile that have not yet been made public. This transparency would serve multiple critical purposes: it would inform the American public about actions carried out in their name, fostering accountability and historical awareness. Equally significant, it would grant the Chilean people access to a crucial chapter of their own history, one that remains essential to understanding the collapse of democratic governance more than fifty years ago.

I fully support President Trump´s efforts to ensure that the American people have access to all historically significant information, enabling them to assess its importance independently. In this regard, I strongly encourage you to include, among the aforementioned disclosures, the release of documents related to the 1973 coup d´état in Chile, an event that former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin Powell, acknowledged as “not a part of American history that we´re proud of.”

I have been closely and keenly following President Trump’s statements regarding the release and disclosure of previously unknown documents and information concerning the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I have also taken great interest in his remarks related to the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
